Meet michael
Michael Gettys brings years of professional baseball experience to The Dugout. A Gainesville native and standout two-way player at Gainesville High School, Michael committed to play baseball at the University of Georgia before being selected by the San Diego Padres in the second round of the 2014 MLB Draft.
Throughout his professional career, Michael competed as both an outfielder and pitcher, gaining firsthand experience on both sides of the game.
Now, he’s bringing that experience home to Gainesville. Through The Dugout, Michael is creating a place where baseball and softball players can train with purpose, develop their skills, and put in the work it takes to reach the next level.
